What is Blister Packing?
Blister pack is a term used to describe a wide range of prefabricated plastic packaging used for small consumer goods, food and pharmaceuticals.
The primary component of a blaster pack is a compartment or pocket made from a shaped web, usually a thermoformed plastic. It usually has the support of a paperboard or aluminum foil or plastic lid seal. A self-folding blaster is often called a clamshell.
Blister packs are useful for protecting products from external factors such as moisture and pollution. Opaque blasters protect light sensitive products from ultraviolet rays.

Blister packaging is widely used in the pharmaceutical industry as a unit-dose packaging solution that helps people to take the right amount of medicine at the right time.
Blister packaging is made of several types of rough polymers, including:
Polyethylene terephthalate (PET)
Polyvinyl chloride (PVC)
Polyvinyl chloride (PVDC)
Polychlorotryfluoroethylene (PCTFE)
Cyclic olefin polymers (COP)
Blister packaging is made from a plastic sheet that is thermoformed to create cups or blasters that hold a product. Packaging usually has a paperboard support or a sealing lid of aluminum foil or plastic film.
Why Blister Packing?
Especially for one-time use items, there are individual compartments that can be kept ready whenever the customer is ready. Herbs, medicines and other environmentally sensitive items may benefit from blaster packaging for this reason.
For medicines and certain foods, these packages divide an item equally so that the consumer does not use too much product at once. Some seasoning blends benefit from blister packs because the company has pre-determined the amount needed for some of the recipes. Similarly, medicine dosing is easy and safe for the consumer to understand when using this type of package.
Aesthetically, a plastic blister container is a good choice because it gives the product many options to create a visually appealing and literally beautiful experience. Generally, plastic and cardboard are used in commercial applications. In the pharmaceutical industry, plastic and aluminum are generally the best choice for keeping the product fresh.
With a plastic front, these containers allow customers to see the product before purchasing. Doing so ensures that the quantity of the product is advertised and that all the parts are in the account. Users can see the items but cannot touch them. Therefore, the product is protected from thieves and fraud.
For items that need to remain stationary, the blister pack is an ideal solution. Individualized and usually small compartments do not allow movement of the product within the packaging. This design protects the item from damage during transit.
Since all plastic blasters are thermoformed, each design is unique to the product being sold. Regardless of the size or number of items contained in the blister pack, it can be customized to suit the needs of the product.
